Castle Eltz

Castle Eltz is one of the best preserved castles of Germany. Guided tours start every 15 minutes and takes about 40 minutes.
Also visit the treasure room.
And do not forget to take an unforgettable look at the Eltz valley.

Castles of Treis

Treis has two castles.
The first castle nowadays known as Burg Treis, was situated better on top of the steep mountain with a view of the city.
Nowadays you can only see the cemetery.
The second castle, the Wildburg, was build immediately after the first castle was build in order to provide back cover for the first castle. The purpose of this castle was to guard the streets in the valley and the road upwards. The Wildburg is private property and cannot be visited.

The chapel can always be visited.

Castle Metternich in Beilstein

The ruin of Castle Metternich is very visible at the high rock near Beilstein above the Mosel valley.
